Two Factor Authentication (2FA) Setup

2FA as a mandatory measure for your account security

In order to secure your account, we use two-factor authentication (2FA) as an added precaution to validate your identity.

What is Two Factor Authentication (2FA)?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) refers to an authentication tool with dynamic passwords. With 2FA linked, the 6-digit verification code will on the mobile phone and it must be entered for corresponding operations. The operations, if authenticated, may proceed, providing better security and safeguards to your account(s) and funds.

We recommend the following steps to set up your 2FA:

1. Install two-factor authentication (2FA) app

Download LastPass Authenticator or Authy app on your mobile device.

For smoother setup, please have your laptop ready to sign up and mobile device for 2FA App.

2. Sign up on

When setting up your Genesis Block OTC Portal account you’ll be asked to scan the QR code to obtain the 2FA credentials in your app.

3. Passcode/2FA setup 

Press "Add New Account", select "Scan barcode". Scan the QR Code with the authenticator app. 


*If you are unable to scan, please click "Trouble scanning?" on OTC portal to obtain a manual code/security key, then copy and paste into your Authenticator app.

Your 2FA credentials (Passcode) for your portal account should be saved as below:

4. Insert passcode

Please insert your 6-digit number from the app into Portal passcode to complete your 2FA setup. Noted that this 6-digit number will change every 30 seconds.

5. You are all set!

Next time while you login, you’ll be asked to enter your 2FA code - so do not delete the app. 😉
